Petrol and diesel prices will be hiked from 28 February midnight in India. Petrol price will be hiked by 3.18 rupees per litre and diesel price will soar by 3.09 rupees per litre.
The announcement of hiking petrol and diesel prices just hours after Arun Jaitley's budget speech has stunned all Indians as no one had expected this price hike.
Price hike might be attributed due to hike in the service taxes announced today by our finance minister.
With the hike in the prices of petrol and diesel, overall inflation will also rise to some extent.
Recently the government has reduced the prices of petrol and diesel by 2 rupees per litre.
